Tricia's favorites can feed the hungry - a new monthly column

I get to see a lot of amazing photographs come through here. Usually when I see one I love my first reaction is ‘Did I take that?’ The answer is usually, ‘No, you weren’t even there.’ Dare to dream though. My second reaction is ‘I need them to have that.’

Now usually the ones I love are not necessarily the ones that get picked out. I have been told I like odd things before. Once in a bar in Chicago, I had a guy walk all the way across the crowded room just to tell me that I was wearing the ugliest shirt he had ever seen. Hopefully this won’t be like that. I just want to share some of our work with you that really makes me feel privileged to work with Chris and to have such a great list of clients.

Now here’s the part about feeding the hungry. When you see your photo, if you love it just like I do, we want to give you the opportunity to purchase a 5x7 for only $15. All of that $15 will go toward buying livestock for families in rural Asia. I love the idea of teaching a man to fish. And this program provides livestock and education to families so they can build a future and help themselves. (www.gfa.org). To order just call us at 487-8035 and tell us you are one of the favorites.

No matter what our religion, I think we can all agree that feeding the hungry is the right thing to do. And why not put up a beautiful photo of you and your loved ones while you are doing it? You will be blessed and so will they.

These are my first few. If you, like the guy in Chicago, want to give me some feedback, I would love it. Maybe a bit kinder than his approach. That way, I won’t make you buy me a drink. Hee Hee.

*Please do not ask me to change my favorites. This is just what I like.

I love all of these! I must have weird taste too! But here is my question...Where is 'Chad for President'? lol ;)

Gosh I hope you pick us eventually...I don't have any of your work hanging in my house.

This is such a great idea! How can I NOT purchase a print, knowing that the money is going toward such a thoughtful cause AND I get a piece of artwork out of it?

I love win-win propositions.

(Almost makes me want to purchase other of your "favorites" too - but it might be weird to have strangers' photos hanging on our wall.)

Hey Barb - I'll wear that shirt to dinner on saturday. Hope I don't embarrass you. Or Chris for that matter.

And we can definitely find something in the archives to cover that last remaining 2 inch by 2 inch space on your walls!

Ooo that's a good idea. Ugly shirts and Italian night...that way we won't ruin any favorite shirts with red sauce ;) And, this is why we haven't gotten any new pics taken lately, I don't have any room! I better get started on an addition. Again...I didn't know I was that hot, until I met the Keels!

This is my first time perusing your blog...I knew Chris long ago, thanks to the Army. I have to say that every photo here seems to have a life of it's own, a spirit so to speak. I am absolutely blown away by what you two have created.

Sorry, I guess I could have told you who I was in my original note, huh? I am no blogger, so this is a little over my head :) This is Chelsea Jackson. I'd love for you to photograph my Chloe...who is 10 now, if you can believe that!
